Emergency Medicine Jobs – Online Search

What they won’t tell you about online search.

About to finish residency or looking for a new emergency medicine job?

Describing all the sites that contain emergency medicine jobs can be difficult because there are so many. The online search can be frustrating especially when you have to login and then get barraged with emails with jobs that don’t even interest you.

Here is a list of emergency medicine online job sites and some basic information regarding each, we hope this helps educate you in your search. There are links to the emergency medicine jobs section for most of the sites that you can use to do an extensive search for emergency medicine jobs more easily.

Let us know if you have other great sites that aren’t listed.

NO Login required sites let you contact employer without sign up and information exchange. These are the most NO-STRINGS ATTACHED SITES

1. edphysician.com – only emergency medicine jobs, email form for contact, may copy and paste email to avoid form, visually appealing featured listings, difficult search capabilities, good for state specific jobs

2. emedcentral.com – only emergency medicine jobs, can search by keyword and location, also multiple other good resources for emergency medicine

3. edsource.com – only emergency medicine jobs, good map search and easily email potential employers they also have some EM News

Login Required Sites

From experience these websites tend to send you emails regarding jobs often and forever. As well as give/sell this information to recruiters who then call you on the phone. Some people prefer this constant contact and actually don’t want to search themselves.

1. mdsearch.com – all types of physician jobs, unable to view contact and company information without login, does give description and location for most job listings

2. physiciandepot.com – all types of physician jobs, login required just to search for jobs

3. locumleaders.com – several different specialties, can search by state or specialty, must login to apply or call/email to locums leaders themselves, does give job details

4. locumtenems.com – all types of physicians, can search by specialty and location, login required to respond

5. doccafe.com – login required to search, recruiters have access to your information after you place it on their, I personally still get phone calls from info I put on there over 6 years ago.

6. emcareer.com – login required to search

We hope this helps put a dent in the breakdown of emergency medicine job sites. We will continue to add and update this post as much as possible. As far as the accuracy of listings, we have run into listings that say there is a job available in, for example, “Crested Butte, Colorado or La Jolla, California” and you call only to find out “that job has been taken but, we have a job at this other location”. Don’t be tricked or talked into something you weren’t looking for in the first place – stay strong!

Please comment and let us know your experience with these different emergency medicine job sites. Help your fellow colleagues in the future.
